BBQ Pork Chops and Potatoes

+ 4 (1-inch thick) bone-in pork chops
+ 1 tsp. garlic powder + 1 tsp. salt + 1/2 tsp. black pepper + 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil + 5 potatoes, peeled and sliced + 1 onion, thinly sliced + 2 c. barbecue sauce What to do:
1. Sprinkle pork chops evenly with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
2. In a large skillet over high heat, heat oil until hot; saute pork chops 4 to 5 minutes, or until browned on both sides. 3. In a large slow cooker, layer potatoes and onions. Pour 1 cup barbecue sauce over onions. Place pork chops on top, then pour remaining barbecue sauce over pork chops. 4.
